About Artist

Sally is truly a woman of the world- a native of London, UK, she obtained a PhD in Freiburg, Germany, and immigrated to the United States in 1990. She began her art career shortly after arriving in California and she currently works from a studio in Allen, Texas. She is an award-winning artist who has taken numerous workshops with nationally known artists including Miles Batt, Nita Leland, Carl Dalio, R. Doug Walton, Jane E. Jones, and Betsy Dillard Stroud. She teaches privately and offers workshops during the summer at a local art studio.

Proficient in several art media, Sally's energies are focused on semi-abstract (abstract realism) and non-representational art. She is passionate about experimenting with new processes, texture and mixed-media. To keep her art fresh and exciting she swaps media or alternates from large canvases to miniature watercolors (art-cards). The constant change keeps creative juices flowing and reignites new passion! At Visual Arts Society of Texas 39th Annual State Exhibition her work was described as “progressive and forward-thinking”.

Sally has received numerous awards and ribbons. She has exhibited in many local, State, and National shows. Her work is in private collections in Germany, U.K. California and Texas. She has had several solo shows and numerous group exhibitions. She has 2 cover articles in local magazines and will be appearing on HGTV's “That's Clever!” holiday season 2007. Look for Sally's work in upcoming art books to be published in 2008.
